INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • ½ teaspoon of cumin seeds

  • 1 green pepper

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon of turmeric

  • 1 cups of masoor dal

  • 3 ½ cups of water

  • 2 teaspoons of salt

  • 1 ½ teaspoon of coriander powder

  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or ¼ lemon

METHOD

  • Wash masoor dal.

  • Put butter in pressure cooker.

  • Start the heat at medium.

  • Put cumin seeds.

  • Let it cook for a few minutes.

  •  Put some green pepper and black pepper in butter.

  • After a few minutes add turmeric.

  • After 10 minute, add masoor dal.

  • Stir it and add water and salt.

  •  Close the pressure cooker and change the heat to medium-high.

  • After the first whistle, close the heat and wait for 15 minutes for it to cool.

  • Add coriander powder and lemon juice.
